i am 10 years old. i have a few bra questions for you girls.

one time i was at the store with my mom and we passed the bra section. she asked me if i wanted one. i laughed and said no. i really wanted one though. that was about 7 months ago. i want a bra sooooooooo bad. i could easily fit into an AA cup. i really want a soft cup bra. i wear camis under all of my shirts. i don't have the guts to go up to my mom and have start the puberty and bra talk. my nipples have gotten darker and bigger and i really think i need a bra. my mom just never talked to me about it yet. maybe she is waiting for me to ask. my sister (16 yr old) had cupped bras since she was 9. now she is a 38 C cup. my mom had cup bras since she was 10. how do i talk to her about bras? how do i get her to start the talk? i want to scedule a mom/daughter day so we can go shopping for bras. how do i make my boobs bigger so she will notice? other details please? i dont wear any bra yet

p.s. am i overweight? 4'10 feet 77 lbs

first of all, you are really thin and should not be worrying about your weight at age 10. you are a growing child and if you begin to diet that can screw up your puberty and growth patterns. so please don't worry about that kind of stuff now!

when you are at home with your mom alone, approach her about how you have noticed a few changes with your chest and that you feel you can no longer get away with just wearing t-shirts. she will probably then suggest buying you a training bra. you and your mom need to be able to talk about puberty and changes with your body. she is there for you and supports you! this is something that should not be ignored or you having to go through alone without any knowledge about the changes going on. talk to her and i'm sure you will feel alot better. good luck :)

You just need to tell her!! Your mom has already gone through this with your sister, so you shouldn't be afraid to ask her. She is there to help and support you. Just say, " mom, I feel like I am ready for a bra. Will you take me shopping on Saturday?" or something like that. Moms are suppposed to take you in stuff like this. You are not overweight. Good luck =)

No yo are not overweight. You are indeed quite thin.
just walk up to your mother and ask for a bra. Or better yet go to your sister and ask her about the issue. She can give you the best advice for how to deal with your mother.

if you go to the mall with your friends a lot, you could buy some bras for yourself. thats how i started wearing padded bras. but my mom did start me with training bras. maybe try wearing no camis and like a tight-ish shirt so your boobs will show more! haha. she might notice and say you need bras! it might work!

What's to be embarrassed about? She's your mom, she went through this. Just say, "Mom, I think I should get a bra now." She'll understand.

no, you are definately not over weight! talk to your sister, she can give you advice. Next time you're in a store like target or wal-mart and you pass by the clothes casually bring the subject up to your mom, she'll be excited.
