I like Bowden. He increased our stadium size from 40,000 to 80,000. 14 years in the top 5 record will never happen again. 30 years with a winning record. Enough said. What has Paterno done to match! I don't think he has seen a game with those glasses in like 15 years. But he will be remembered as the second best coach in division 1.

Go Noles!

Joe Paterno runs a tight ship up there, both on and off the field as well as academically. Plus, Bowden's 31 victories at Howard/Samford are technically not Division I wins. So Paterno is best all-around. And 110,000 capacity at Beaver Stadium - beat that!!

don't forget that Bowden's college victories include 31 victories at Howard College. There's no way this matches with Joe Paterno's victories all at Penn State. Also, Paterno stayed loyal to one school.

Oh come on, Bobby Bowden can't even beat his own kid anymore, Clemson's beat the 'Noles 2 years in a row already.

Joe Paterno's players were disciplined - the same can't be said for Bobby Bowden's players.

That you would ask such a question makes it obvious that you're either putting us on or not really interested in hearing any viewpoints that don't match your own.

Joe Pa is the man! He's clearly a better coach because he can disclipine his players. Go Nittany Lions!
