yes! I use a tampon. It's not worth it to miss it when it's hot/swim team events occur. I love to swim and I swim every chance I get, even though I hate tampons. It's not like my male coach can understand...lol. Exercising is good for the body as well as the mind.

Absolutely! Aerobic activity can actually lessen cramps and PMS symptoms. Some people think wearing a tampon is optional but I think it's a great security measure if you swim while on your period. You shouldn't let something as simple as menstruation deter you from engaging in your normal activity, this isn't the 50s!!!

I swim on my period. I uses tampons so I don't leak. I am cramping really bad I won't just beacause when I cramp really bad all I can do is curl up into a little ball. If I did that in the water I'd drown.

Yeah. I'm on swim team and I wasn't going to let that stop me from going to practice. That's what tampons are for, right? But, I don't swim if I'm flowing really heavy, because then a tampon doesn't do it for me. But, normal to light flow is fine.

yes i swim atleast 2 hours everyday (usually more) i cant miss a day of training. i have to change it every 2 hours or so, and its annoying, but it actually makes me feel better sometimes. (It gets rid of cramps and headaches). as for casual swimming or going to the beach i still do it but wear a dark bikini
