Hi. I am a teen who loves to act. I really want to know how you are supposed to know about auditions for anything. I got in to my local thater's play, Peter Pan, But I only knew to audition, becase it was all over the news paper. How do I know about comercial/TV auditions?

Depending on where you live there is www.Backstage.com that has a lot of listings in it you have to pay for the subscription tho but it's worth it, there is also www.playbill.com and you can always check the equity web pages like SAG and Actors Equity they post listings even if you don't live in the area if a movie is being shot near your town and that's what you wanna try for they give you an address for the casting director to send in your head shot and resume. That's a good way to get your name and face out into the industry and be seen. Hope this helped!

A good agent is your best resource for audition info. All legit, paying work goes through Casting agents, and professional talent agents.

If you are looking for amateur work, many cities have "Yahoo" groups that post casting calls for unpaid work. That's a good place to get your feet wet and learn you way around the set.

Try typing "mandy" into yahoo, there you'll get casting calls for TV, movies, theatre etc.
