I love the series by Louise Rennison. She's a British author and the books in her series are really funny. The first book is called "Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging." The series is about a girl called Georgia Nicholson and it's basically her day-to-day diary. She talks about her friendships, family, crazy cat (Angus) and her hilarious crushes on different guys. I'm 26 and I still can't wait to read the latest book - they're just so funny. Definitely recommend you check them out!

(Haha - I just read the other replies and saw someone else recommended them! Trust us - they're good!)

Another series of books is the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. They're a bit longer than the other series and are really quite enjoyable as well. Not as funny as the books about Georgia Nicholson, but worth reading for sure.

I was going to say Harry Potter... but if you don't like that kind of thing the "Sisterhood the the Traveling Pants" is good or "Hoot"
you could go to the library and ask for recommendations

The Mediator series by Meg Cabot. This is a great series about a girl who speaks to ghosts. It is also a complete series so you don't have to wait around for the next book to come out. It has action, adventure, humor and romance and I highly recommend them.

The Clique series are realy fun to read. Also if your looking for a more serious book, Catherine Called Birdy is like how to lose a guy in 10 days, but in medival times. Its sort of slow in the begging, but its really good once you get into it.

The first one in the series is called "Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal snogging". The books are very funny and keep you reading 'til you are done. I used to read them when I was a teen.
