Recently I realize I need to be 100% sure that a specific point in world UCS is related to a named point on the world map... I mean, is there any conection between the geographic location of a point on the map with the same point (x,y - longitude, latitude) in a autocad file? Ufff... I hope I can make myself clear enough. Thanks guys:)

It's a normal autocad 2006 edition, no land, no nothing... I'am asking not because I need to draw a map, but because I need to export some files into microstation (which is working with absolute geographical points) and the results are not good at all. I mean, the drawings are thrown away in the corners, not in the specific point I gave.

Not sure what you are talking about.
However: All ACAD drawings coordinates are related to the ORIGIN of the drawing (0,0,0).
So, if you select the correct scale an put your points at the correct position in relation to the origin, you should be ok.
If you go to my site (www.skytargets.com) and go to the "dodge city game" (a 3D VRML project), you will see that designs have been made in Acad, then exported to 3ds max 8. In designing the buildings, I made sure that the origin of the drawing is at the correct place (you can also see some "oops!").

There will be a relationship between the 2 points. Often its simply a matter of scaling. Sometimes there is an offset and much less often a rotation or shear. It all depends on how the map was drawn into CAD in the first place.

Are you talking about AutoCAD Map or Land Desktop? Gotta be more specific
