What would you do if you were working part time at 2 stores (The same store name) and you decided to go full time at one of them and the other store director made it sound like she was really mad about the choice???

I work at a gas station and I have been working two different stores in 2 differnt towns. I made the choice to go full time at the one that is closer to me and the one that needs me the most. When I called the store director to let her know my choice she sounded really mad and I don't know what to do.

What would I do? I'd do exactly what you did. You have to think about yourself and if you have the choice of working closer to home that's great. You were very professional in giving a 2-weeks notice. The store director is just upset that you're leaving because you're probably such a good worker. She may also have some other issues going on BUT that doesn't make it right for her to be mad at you. Anyway, be confident in the choice you made. She'll get over it and it's not your job to make sure she does get over it.

Well first of all don't let her make you feel bad about your choice. You are smart and sensible. Give them a 2 week letter and do your best for the two weeks. She is probably just mad becuase she sucks as a manager.

dont let your boss control you. he/she might be the boss of your work, but nothing besides that. He can't tell you when to work at different places. Be confident and be strong. He is not the boss of your personal life!

Well fine, then. 2 weeks is good. You don't owe her anything more. I always say "go with your gut."
