Give your body a chance to heal. At LEAST six months. A year would be better and your kids will still be close. Good Luck!

You need to wait atleast 3 months before trying to concieve again.
I concieved again when my son was only 2 months old and after carrying the baby for 9 weeks, I had a miscarraige.
The doctor said it was due to my uterus not being allowed time to heal enough to hold the baby.
We were told to wait 3-4 months before trying again.
We did just that are are now 23 weeks pregnant with another baby boy !! Our new son and our older son will be 17 months apart so they will still be close !!
Good Luck

As long as you are healthy and do not have complications there should be no problem trying again as soon as you are comfortable. I had an emergency c-section with my first born and could not have relations with my husband for 6 weeks. Well, my children are 13 months apart. I gave birth in January 2005 and February 2006. Both c-sections with no complications and happy healthy babies!

Good luck with your decision and congratulations on the pregnancy!

Talk to your Doctor, mine said to wait at least 6 months so we did and then got pregnant again immediately. There is some evidence that having them close can lead to low birth weight and prematurity in the second child. But I think if you have a healthy normal first pregnancy and are healthy yourself then you should be ok. You would need to weigh up any risk associated with having them close against the risk of you being older anyway.
Good luck, its hard having them that close, but I love it!

It takes about a year for your body to recover from having a baby so I would wait at least a year, this will still put your kids close in age and give your body time to recover and get healthy again so you have a healthy pregnancy and baby!

nicely, needless to say it somewhat is a private selection between the two one in each of you, yet in view which you're searching for exterior enter, i might recommend waiting a minimum of a few months in the previous attempting. here is why: attempting to get pregnant takes somewhat of the romance out of intercourse in view which you're making plans for the excellent suited time as a exchange of being as spontaneous. as quickly as you get pregnant, there's a great danger you will no longer sense like having intercourse during the 1st trimester and could be somewhat complicated to be around as a results of a mix of exhaustion, moodiness, and nausea. So, in case you have by no potential lived mutually previous to now, this is severe-high quality to take some months and purely appreciate it before!

i cant say about having close children as mine are far apart. but i do come from a family where us kids (6) are just a year apart. my best friend her kids are a year or so apart. If you want to have your kids close i would say no more then a year. A year is enough time for your body to heal from this pregnancy. good luck and congrats.

There's an old saying in the ob ward about the next pregnancy: how soon you become pregnant again depends on whether you're in a ward or a private room.

I think waiting a year is long enough to start trying again. Really you just want to wait long enough for everything to heal.

I would wait at least a year so your body can heal from giving birth. Your doctor knows you better then we do. Talk to him/her and see what they think.
