I do everything that they tell me to do like pee after sex and all of that stuff but I still get them. Well I just got one and along with the stinging when Im about to finishing peeing this time im having pains in the lower part of my stomach, im very nausated and I just feel sick and that doesnt happen when I get UTI's. Im starting to think that my infection is getting worse because I feel sick. Do you think its safe for me to wait until next thursday to go to the Doctor or wait in the emergency room for 6 hours to get seen. Please give me your honest opinion with no smart remarks...Thanks so much

I was the same as you in my 20's. After several trips to the ER they finally did an IV pyelogram and discovered I had horseshoe kidney (kidneys joined together at the bottom in the shape of a horseshoe). This was the cause of the chronic infections. It is especially telling that you have pains in the lower part of your stomach. Mine felt like someone was trying to turn me inside out by the belly button. That threw everyone off because kidney pain is usually in the back/side of the torso. But it was because the extra piece of kidney was the infected part and it was located between the two other kidneys that the pain was where it was.

Whether you go to the emergency room or not (don't you have emer clinics not attached to the hospital where service would be faster and cheaper??) you need to ask for the pyelogram (or newer diagnostic test if they have one) to take a look at your kidneys.

Why is your doctor making you wait a whole week? Call the office back and tell them you are getting worse and need to be seen NOW. If it is a UTI and getting worse (especially with nausea and lower abdominal pain) and the doctor refuses to see you before next week, I would definitely go to the ER/Urgent Care. Waiting a week will make the infection much worse as it can spread to other parts of the urinary tract (such as the kidneys) and be much more difficult to treat.

You should also ask about testing to determine why you are getting UTI's so often. There are many medical conditions that can cause frequent UTI's.

you made the appiontment for a week from now! oh no, first call the doctor office back and ask them if there are any sooner apiontments, and ask then you please call you if there are any no shows meaning they will call you if anyone doesn't show up and you can fill in. if thats no option then sit in the ER for a few hours because you should know by now that you can get really sick from them if not treated and if you haveing pains there something is wrong. ! get well soon , i hate those things they really bring you down and make you feel horrible!
i also had those systems about a month ago and i had a kidney infection!

You should definitely go to the emergency room. It sounds really serious and could be fatal but because its quite late you should wait til tomorrow and book an appointment

Go to the doctor now; don't wait. Now, does your partner wear a condom? He ought to wash himself thoroughly with soap and water before you two engage in sex. He may have a problem he is not sharing with you, and he is contaminating you every time you 2 have sex. Also, drink Cranberry juice and take cranberry supplements.

if you feel that it is getting worse, there is nothing wrong with going to the emergency room. maybe you could call your drs office and explain that if they cannot see you asap then you are going to go to the emergency room. maybe they will be able to fit you in.
