You can do that on any day of the year. There's nothing special about the equinox...though a lot of ignorant people continue to perpetuate this myth.

Wait a second, "Summer" equinox? There is no Summer equinox. It's called the Summer solstice. Equinoxes occur in Spring and Autumn.

No. You can stand an egg on end equally well (or equally poorly) any day of the year.
