Black and white, on the back of your resume, should take up the full page.

On the west coast, color headshots are the way to go now. Face shots are always a good idea, thoush some 3/4 shots can work too. It really depends on the pic, but if you are just starting out and don't have an agent yet, I'd stick with a straight on headshot.

The headshot should be on the back of the resume, but DO NOT print it out on the back! Just staple your resume neatly to the back so it appears to just be on the back. This way, when you update your resume, you dont have to reprint all your headshots, that can get expensive. If you make sure to trim the resume to fit the back of the headshot and staple neatly in the four corners, you're all set.

Just get one good headshot for now. When you land an agent, they may ask you to reshot for different headshots and they can give you advice on clothing and such.

Good louck to you, have fun!

Your headshot and resume should be 2 separate pieces. Stapled together at the top corners.

Headshot or 3/4 depends on what your strengths are. Most people have both available but lead with the Headshot unless a specific body type is being requested.

The most important thing is that you actually look like your headshot! I am an actor, but I am also a director. It is a HUGE waste of time when I call in someone for an audition based on a headshot and the person that shows up isn't recognizable as the person in the photo. We all know Photoshop can do amazing things, but I want to see what the person actually looks like.

A good agent should be able to advise you on what the local casting directors like. Your agent is your best resource.

You have to find out what is preferred in the city where you live and will act. Black & White has always been the preferred choice. Ask your actor friends. The headshot is on back of the resume. It's called a HEAD SHOT for a reason. Staple headshot and resume to each of the four corners.

I have heard that now CDs, directors, and agents prefer headshots with color. maybe not... I think you should go to the backstage message board because they have a lot of topics about headshots and resumes, Child and teen actors stuff.
