OK. I have an 8month old Cat male, and a 3 year old Dog Female named Puddles. They get along so good it's crazy. I used to have a cat named Henry..... I asked a lot of questions on here about his sickness. He passed away sadly a few days ago. well, ever since then My cat and dog have been depressed, not dangerously but they have been. ANYWAYS to get to my question, sorry, I am Dogsitting for a friend, a female dog. and she's very hyper, well my cat doesn't know what to think of her, and is very skittish, well when he tried to give her a try and sniff her, the dog growled... should I keep them apart or should I just let them get used to each other? I'll have the dog till Monday. She's a sweet dog. but I'm afraid that my cat will get more stressed. and I don't want that. also any suggestions on how to help my cat and dog not be so depressed about Henry?

Thank you so much! I love my animals like my own kids.. since I can't have any lol.

animals mourn just as we do, spend some extra time with them. leave your animals where they always are if you try to secure them to a room they may believe that they are being punished

Let them get used to each other unless bloodshed breaks out.
