Gentlemen, how did you propose to your wife?

My hubby took me to our favorite restaurant and proposed after the appetizers were eaten. He got down on one knee and everything! It was a fairly quiet restaurant so no one really saw it except our waitor.

i pretended to cut my hand while cooking dinner. i put the ring in my palm and wrapped it with a cloth towel. near the edges, i poured some red food coloring to make it look like i was bleeding.

i ran screaming to the living room and her first reaction was to get mad because she thought she was going to have to drive me to the emergency room. she wanted to see how bad it was and i went down on one knee while she was on the chair unwrapping the towel.

she finally got it off and saw the ring and started banging her fist on my shoulders (which actually hurt) and i asked her to marry me.

the rest is history. the. end.

I did it the old fashion way...I got down on one knee, reached under the table, found the club I hid there before dinner, clubbed her over the head and dragged her by her hair back to my cave.


Should I have used "drug" instead of "dragged" - I'd ask but I don't want to lose points.

My hubby got on his knees in the gravel parking lot of the Mellow Mushroom in the middle of the city we lived in and shouted it out loud...it was kind of embarrassing, but kind of cute...the gravel really did a number on his knees (he was wearing shorts!) Not the epitome of romance, but memorable.
