For my new website, should I use my public email address or my private one? Well, I'll only tell tell my friends the website address, but there might be a chance people I don't know will also visit the website. So what do you think about this?

the best way is not to use an email at all, but use an online submission form. But if you can't use that use only PUBLIC!!! trust me -- once it is on the Internet it will be seen to many people and specially spam engines will scan it and will send you spam(do you want that on a private email?)

It's hard to keep a website 100% hidden. Sooner or later a web crawler or spider will find your site. Many of these are operated by spammers looking for e-mail addresses. If you are going to post an e-mail address on your site, use one of the many methods to obscure the address. For instancde, if you know all visitors to your site can view a graphic, you could make a picture that contains your e-mail address. There are also several approached using client side java scripting.

I would use one of my private email addresses (of which I have many, including several constantly-changing disposable ones). I would never want my "real" address out there even if it is the paid one.
