How would you go about about finding out if it is an inherited skill? I can't see many people WANTING to find out if their parents were good at talking dirty.

First I have to agree with “Caveman’s Daughter”....just the thought of my parents talking dirty to each other! Ummm, I don’t wanna go there, wayyyyy to scarey for me...lol!

I’m confused because I don’t know if the “talking dirty” is meant speaking foul language during normal speech, or “bedroom talk”. Children learn their language skills from their parents, after all, they are the majority role models during our growing years. We learn at a very young age what is normal depending on the behavior of our parents.

Now, if you are referring to “bedroom talk”...it’s a completely different circumstance. Speech is not genetic as height, weight, color of hair/eyes and illnesses are. One would have to hear their parents speaking in this manner to learn it. (I can’t even grasp the thought of hearing my parents while they were having sex!!!!!! OMG!!!)

Can anyone learn to do it? That would depend on the person. For some this could be unacceptable, especially if they are a very shy person! For others, it’s a HUGE turn-on! Ya gotta do what feels right for you! But, yes it can be learned.

I can think of two possibilities in which to do so:
1)Your partner does and is patient in accepting the fact that it’s new to you, and is willing to make you feel comfortable with it and to help you along.
2)Watch porn, a sure fire way to learn...guaranteed!

Regardless, you need to stay true to yourself. Don’t do something that you find unappealing just because your partner wants it. If they love you, they will accept you for whom you are...which includes your moral values.

Remember that there is a difference in “Having Sex” and “Making Love”. I believe that a mixture in a relationship keeps it exciting! I mean, come on, who wants chicken pot pie every night for dinner? LOL!!!

I'd hate it to be an inherited skill. Imagine my parents talking dirty to each other. Yuk! No thank you.

Actually, I think a person learns to "talk dirty" just like flirting. It comes easier to some, but not me.

I don't know my guy friend talks dirty all the time; I think some guys are better at it than some girls, but girls can learn it too.

I think it's just an influence. People tend to do what they see other people do. It's not an inherited skill, but people just copy other people.

And why would you want to talk dirty? Isn't it best to speak like a lady at all times. To speak properly is acquired through tuition and correct upbringing. What the requirements for dirty talking are,I don't know.and can't imagine why anyone would want to.
