Check out the book "A Year in Provence" it is about doing just that. Only the real life characters moved to the Provencial wine swilling area of France. Gives you the lowdown on what it is like to try to assimilate.
Good LUck, I have always fancied moving to GB or Wales.

Ya, I experienced that when I moved from my country to the U.S, it was a very big step in my life, new culture, new people, and new surprises, but anyway we have to live in this life and accept it. I moved b/c of some of the politics problems in my country. Although, it is hard for everybody, it has some beneficial effects and sides for me!
Good Luck!

If you really want to you would have to be serious about it. You would be becomming a part of another culture. You could go to India and wear india gear and live as one. You could go to China and wear komono and live as a holy person. Maybe you could go to England and wear fluffy dresses and live as an aristocrat. Then check out some of William and Harry's concerts to make sure you stay rockin.

Voting with your feet!
Where to is a very personal decision. Depends on what you are looking for and what skills you have.

Are you looking to disappear much like the witness protection program? Are there kids involved? If you are single then it should be no problem, but if you are say divorced with children then it could be considered kidnapping and could worsen your situation.

it's possible but from my experiences I learned that there is no geographical changes to cure all my woes--I still took myself with me when I moved. Don't know ur situation of course and I hope it works for u.

Yes, you can, as long as you don't have any felonies.
A friend of mine did this a couple of years back. He went to Thailand and loves it.
