I have been to Amsterdam twice. Must-see tourist destinations include:
Anne Frank's House
The Van Gogh Museum, and
The Dam (which is the city's central square and home to the Royal Palace)

The above mentioned, however, you absolutely must see while in Amsterdam -- especially Anne Frank's House, which just received even more materials from her past and time spent under SS occupation.

In Amsterdam there is the Royal Palace, Dam Square, Anne Frank's House, Rembrandt's House, Church in the Attic, Red Light District, Van Gogh Museum, Coffee shops - Bluebird, Abraxas.

Amsterdam is the top tourist attractions in Holland cos its de capital city and it is a very nice place 2 stay. By the way i come from Holland too.

In both Amsterdam and Rotterdam there are many museums, shops, boat tours (canals and harbour in Amsterdam and river and harbour in Rotterdam), theaters, cinema's, restaurants and places to drink, and lastly places to enjoy the music and nightlife.
(Of course, all of the Netherlands have a more open attitude to soft-drugs and sex is shown more open, but if you would not use them at home, why try them here.
In all towns in the western world you can get drugs, and prostitution is also everywhere.)

The Pancake Bakery is just north of the Anne Frank House and is a good place to eat.
The Heineken brewery is a cool place also.
I am not sure what exactly you are interested in but these are a few of my favorites.
