You mean like this? It can still be seen as an answer as you are asking whether or not people answer a question with a question. But if you are asking a question that needs an answer then it's annoying and not really an answer.

Don't you think questions can be answers as long as they are related to the initial asker's question and they offer the information the asker is looking for? Didn't you know that statistically speaking an answer doesn't just depend on the existence or absence of the question mark found at the end, but it actually depends on the information that is transmitted through it?

...I try very hard to avoid answering a question with a question...I've found that doing this alerts Y/A "big brother monitoring computer program" and violations sometimes follow...I get around this, sometimes, by not typing a question mark at the end of the sentence

Asking a question when supposedly answering a question is a violation. If a person cannot contribute they are not supposed to recieve two points when it cost 5 to ask a question (with 3 back).
