I have. Lately I'm questioning my decision to turn my life to Christ. I'm starting to to doubt myself as there's a part of me that feels as if I'm not cut out for this religion. Maybe it's because I've been taking a good look at myself and I realize that I have a lot of bad qualities such as the fact that I get annoyed with what I find to be stupid people and ignorant people and I feel as if maybe I'm judgemental towards people at times which I never realized about myself. I honestly try not to be that way but I don't know. So have you ever done something which makes you ask why did you do it?

I always second guess myself, especially when it comes to huge decisions that will potentially change my life. I always think I can't handle whatever it is I chose to do. Like I'm not smart enough. When in reality, I know that I am.

Those qualities that you call "bad" hon, don't make you a bad person. Inside all of us, there is that baby who only loved and needed to be loved because that is all it knew. But once that baby grew up and was introduced to the world, we were taught not to trust everyone, that you had to protect yourself and your heart, not give openly. We were taught to judge and be defensive. It is your choice to be otherwise, which is actually an extremely hard thing to do. Don't give up on your decision yet, and most of all don't give up on yourself!

Here is some food for thought..
I am basically a Christian but choose not to attend church, because I do not feel very close to God when I am there. I also do not choose to commit to believing all of the Bible because I tend to believe it is a book written to help many people, and only parts of it that really seem to relate to me, are actually going to help me live a good life. The rest seems to be meant to help other people.(hard to explain very well)

MY point is,you should do only what feels right in you heart, no matter what anyone else thinks, and then you will feel very close to God. Because after all God gave you a brain and common sense to figure out what is best for you, so use those gifts to help you decide.

I believe God is bigger than any ONE religion anyway.

No one is perfect. Whether you want to be Christian or not is something personal, and you cant let the way other people choose to practice it discourage you from trying to find a place in the religion. I always second guess myself when it comes to things and I think the most admirable people are those who can move past that and find things out the hard way---good or not. Good luck :)

oh constantly....I'm one of those folks who second-guesses herself all the time...its kinda a trait I would like to change, that and my worrying to much about stuff. I don't think you should question turning over yourself to christ as much as you should question why you do the judgemental and annoyed thing and what you can do to make it better. And God will get over it...he's pretty cool with the forgiveness thing!
I personally can't seem to let things go and just let God have it....I really wish I could figure it out b/c I keep hearing that worrying is bad when you can just give it to Him....but with all thats goin on with me and my husband right now (medical issues) its hard to not think about it all the time....so I kinda understand where you are coming from....all I know to do is pray and I may go talk to a preacher about it or something. good luck with it tho!

If anybody says they haven't done something and had second thoughts, I'd be surprised. I think everyone has been there. I don't think you should doubt your decision to turn to Christ. That's the whole point of Christianity that none of us are good enough. That's the whole point of needing Christ.

Please, don't give up on your decision for Christ! It is the right path and has great rewards. You don't have to be a good person to come to Christ. It's a "come as you are" party. I gave my life to Jesus 31 years ago. I wasn't saved in a church and never have found the right one to join. Yet I pray and read my bible daily, have a bible study once a week in my house with other nonreligious Christians and walk with Him daily. He is the love of my life. The more time goes by, the more I see that He is indeed real and is always working in our lives for our good. If religion isn't for you that's fine. But please continue walking with the Lord Jesus. He is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Him.

the international has lost a real and uncommon super call contained in one in each of those Michael Jackson. by no potential has there been this manner of super skills as him. His skills and fan base has been while in comparison with that of The Beatles and Elvis, yet i think of its truthful to assert that he's a legend lots greater desirable than the different band or artist. His songs have been somewhat influential to the song international and set a nicely-recognized so severe that no longer something in view that has truly in comparison. there has been no different artist who has carried out such dizzy heights as Jackson. For me, Michael Jackson inspired me together with his dancing potential and his songs. there is not any longer a music of his that i do no longer love. i comprehend many of the words to his songs, and would desire to observe his dancing for hours on end. Now i wasn't some super fan, yet i've got self assurance he exchange right into a real idol and that i do no longer think of the international will see this manner of skills ever lower back. i've got self assurance he exchange into misunderstood and his quirky (and now and lower back somewhat off the wall) procedures have been taken thoroughly the incorrect way by the international. It saddens me that the international is this manner of judgemental and merciless place, and that i desire he would have seen what proportion unswerving and loving followers he had. RIP Michael Jackson.

Yes I have, several times. In regards to your decision, none of us are perfect. Christians are people who sin just like everyone else so just because you turn your life over to Christ doesn't mean that you're going to be a perfect person. We still have struggles.

I second guess myself all the time. I examine my motives for an action as well as the outcome. Religion is not an easy decision. Its one to ponder and research deeply before dedicating your life. I wish you the best.
