Love is NOT real in some senses. It's not real like a stone. You can't set love on a table and examine it. If it exists at all, it exists only inside your mind.
This means that for some people, love does NOT exist. Their minds simply cannot contain love. And for some people love ALWAYS exists, because their minds are so full of it that they see it everywhere they look.
In that sense, it is a matter of perception and choice to an extent. But it is also a matter of environment to an extent. Most people do not seem to have to ability to simply decide to love something or not. This doesn't mean that they cannot cultivate this ability... just that they don't seem to have it right now (they can't choose love because they haven't laid the groundwork to make that choice). Some few have actual neurological effects that can completely prevent them from experiencing love.
If love exists for you, then it's certainly as real as anything else that lives only in your head. If you can't seem to find love and want to, I usually recommend setting a fertile ground for it to grow internally instead of trying to catch and hold some mysterious external love. Whatever works!

It is just a matter of perception and beliefs. It all depends what you choose to believe in. For some people it might exist for others it doesn't. Same with God and the devil.

Love does exist. Why do you think people get married and spend a whole lot of money on wedding rings. You'd have to be in love to spend that kind of money. God and the devil are real too. God created the Earth in 7 days and he also sent his own son Jesus Christ down here to save us all from sin. To get into Heaven all you have to do is accept Jesus as your savior and then repent all your sins. You have to at least try stopping everything you do one at a time so eventually you Can be sinless. Every one in the world has commited sin in sometime in their life the Bible says so and the Bible is inspired by God's word and he never lies and is never wrong. If you do commit any sins after you've been saved you should always admit it to him.
The devil is also real. He was originally one of God's angels until he rebeled against him.

It depends on ones upbringing really and the conditioning therein. Some people have never been shown sincere love while others have and so I think that makes all the difference.I think the meekest and most humble members of society understand what love really is since they may have felt it deeply and believe in it wholeheartedly but as for alot of other people their lives revolve around self interest and self interest alone.Their ego becomes the primary concern in their lives.

does hate exist? Is love just the absence of hate or vice versa?
The only reality we will ever know is based upon our perception - and you do have the perceived choice to give and receive love, but you can't stop someone from loving others.
What benefit would there be to believe that love isn't real? Especially if you couldn't prove that it doesn't exist...

Love is one word where a dozen are needed. The Greeks had five, and even that isn't enough.
Is love a feeling? I believe it is a description of a set of choices--it is something you do. If you 'love' someone, you put their interests at least equal to your own. Like a mother's love for a child, you do what's good for them even if they threaten to hate you in return. Like a hero's love, dying to save someone else's life, not knowing whether there's any reward in the afterlife for it.
So basically...yes. Love exists.

All I know about the rest of existence is the universal gravitational force of love. There is nothing else of real value in the universe, actually.
If more people came to this realization, we would be much better off.

To me love exists. And not just among mankind. You can see affection from pets. They have no concept of God or the Devil, yet they know who cares for them, and they respond with affection.

I think it's significant that you chose to capitalize the L in Love. The Bible tells us that God is love, so yes, love is as real as God and the devil.
As far as choice is concerned, you can choose whether or not to believe in something, but that does not alter the fact of its existence. For instance, I can choose not to believe in tornadoes, but they are real whether I believe in them or not.
My advice to the searching soul is to keep searching. God will reveal Himself to you if you search with all of your heart.

You trying to define love or existence of it....Love is Divine quality cannot be defined , otherwise it will become that which you defined . God and Devil the same, will appear as you believe in them... Love doubted or love judged will show you another side of a coin and that is entirely the case. Love denied will be transformed to fear in multiple of forms and following manifestations of fear as diseases and illnesses...
