well i do believe that the viper live in pits and and the adders live in the sandy areas of the world . The rattlesnake is a pit viper and the adder is usually a puff adder which is deadly as well . I think they both are equal in the poison department . I hope I helped. good luck .

ther two differ species of snake, altho the adder has been proven to be more(and the most) poisonist snake
