i cant wait for hairspray to comeout in 2 weeks!! but, they sing all the songs from the broadway play right??? does michelle fifer (yea i know i spelt it wrong) and amanda bynes sing?? I CANT WAIT!!!

I'm curious as to how this one would turn out. I doubt it'll be better than the original. The one with Ricki Lake. That one is one of the funniest movies ever!
I'm also curious about John Travolta. How he can go from Mr. Saturday Night Fever to Hairspray, that's gotta be hilarious!

I haven't seen the broadway version but I do think they sing the original songs. I believe everyone has to sing their own parts. It sounds like them when they sing. I'm excited about it.

I know Michelle did her own singing in 'The Fabulous Baker Boys' and was even nominated for an Oscar for it. She also did her own singing as leader of the Pink Ladies in 'Grease 2'. (John did his own singing as leader of the Thunderbirds in 'Grease'). Now they're in a movie together that DOESN'T require them to 'grease' up their hair. They just have to use lots of 'hairspray' in this new one :-)....lol

I can. I hate musicals. The only musical that had John Travolta in it and that I can stand watching is Grease.
