I'm 25 weeks pregnant with my first baby and having a hard time deciding on names. So far we have:
Bailey
Madelyn
Maisie
Molly
Ellie
I love them all! We are planning on picking one when we can see which suits her best, but we want to narrow them down to two or three names first. What do you think?

I have had comments about Bailey from other people, but I see it as very girly so I wouldn't personally use it for a boy. Thank you all so far, I had no idea it would be this hard to decide lol!

My 2 favs are Madelyn and Ellie. I think Bailey is way too popular right now ( I teach at an elementary school and we have at least 10 of them in the k-2nd grade!), and I'm just not too fond of Maisie of Molly. Madelyn and Ellie are classic names that will never be too popular or too old fashioned.

Congratulations! They're All Really Cute Names But My Favourites Are Definately Madelyn And Mollie. I Think Bailey Is A Good Name But I Personally Prefer It For A Boy. And Maisie And Ellie Are Very Traditional Sounding Names, So I'd Go With Madelyn Or Molly. I Think You're Right Though, When She's Born You'll Know What Suits Her. Some Babies Just Suit Certain Names I Guess! Anyways They're All Great And I'm Sure You'll Make The Right Decision. All The Best! =]

It is really tricky, and the more children you have, the harder it gets!
For me Bailey is out, because it is not immediately obvious whether it is for a boy or girl.
Madelyn is a nice name, but go for the traditional spelling, Madeline, or you and she, will be forever having to spell it and correct it.
Maisie, Mollie and Ellie are all lovely, very pretty and feminine. Also not the type of names to become old fashioned, or out of date. Go for one of these, you could always have Bailey or Madelyn as a middle name if you really like them.

I love Maisie, Molly and Ellie are quite common names now. I think Bailey is more a boys name. But at the end of the day it's what you like that counts. Hope this helps :-)

first of all cogratulations! i love Bailey, lthough it seems to become more and more common, i 've been hearing that name on yahoo answers a lot. if u dont mind that your daughter will have a common name, then thats wonderful. i still love it though! Madelyn is also very cute..and my third pick would be Maysie. very cute! so u just cant choose between those five? it really doesnt matter what ll of us thin about the names, you should pick the one's you like. of course its always nice to see what others have to say about it, just tog et soem more opnions on something. it'd call her Bailey Madelyn, or Bailey Maisie. good luck!

Here are my thoughts on those names:
Bailey- It is one of those unisex names that people most often name their dogs.
Madelyn-Beautiful name, I love it, although everytime I hear it, it reminds me of those French Petite Cakes, by the same name.
Maisie- I can't put my finger on it but it just doesn't seem like a good choice.
Molly- The name is cute
Ellie- Reminds me of a 70 year old woman who spends her days drinking alone.
SO if i were going to pick two they would be Madelyn and Molly

I like Molly and Ellie but they are all lovely names.
If its any help I wouldn't choose Bailey just for the fact i know a 1 year old boy with that name.
Good luck and congratulations.

I personally like Molly and Madelyn best, followed by Bailey. they are all really pretty names, and I think Bailey sounds feminine, despite other's opinions. I think it is wise to wait until she born to fully decide though. Just pick the one you think feels right. Good luck and congratulations!

What about somethink really unique. Or you could keep the same names but spell them dirfferently like Mollie, Ella, Madiline, Mazie and by the the way, I think you could called her Jo Bailey .......... as i think there really nice names. Have you tried Rose or Eva-Jane, or even Keeta. (Key-ta) I think the names you've picked are beautiful. Hope everything goes well for the baby and father. Good luck, best wishes Emz xxxx
