We hear of the moderate Muslim community but how many extremists have they handed over? You would think such a close knit community would be aware of extremists in its midst.

Jon H If you had bothered to read the question you would see that it is just that, a question, i asked that question because i am interested in finding out what others think. Your nasty comments only go to show the sort of person you are, you seem awful quick to jump to conclusions. May i suggest you get yourself some education, its something you obviously lack.

My question was not about christians,i am suspicious of any and all fundamentalists whoever and where ever they are, they are one of the greatest dangers in the world today. Some of you seem to assume that because of my question i am intollerant/rascist, i suggest you look to your own answers.

All Muslim fundamentalist are seeking a Muslim world state, by fair means or foul. Are we to sit by and let this happen.
I do not know the answer, i am concerned that there are people out there who are prepared to send their children to commit suicide by killing others, in order to gain some fantasy prize in heaven.I am aware that in many Muslim countries public executions of men and women are common, is that civilized? Is that really what Islam is about?

After the Oklahoma bombing i would have thought that any christian fundamentalist group that proposed the spreading of hatred and terrorism would surely come under suspician.

don't understand the references to nazi germany? Its a funny old world aint it? where any hint of reality sets of the liberal do gooders on a tirade of insults and slander. I'm off to Israel soon, going to stay with some good friends who won't be sending their children out to blow themselves up and slaughter innocents along with them. I know the world i want to live in and it doesn't include the hatred and intolerance i see and hear on a daily basis which is encouraged by liberal do gooders when they pander to criminals in our midst and before you go off half cocked i mean ALL criminals of whatever persuasion.

I would have asked this question about any group had the situation warrented it. I happen to think that the terrorist activity of our own government in Iraq, which is resulting in the deaths of thousands of innocents, means that for me they are also under suspicion.

I think that most muslims would feel that they are already under suspicion, rightly or wrongly.
I heard a british muslim talking about this yesterday - she had been stopped & searched by the police. She was very understanding of this, and blamed the extremists for the fact that all 'brown' people (her words) are now suspects.
Anyone who knows of any terrorist suspect should identify them, whether they are muslim or otherwise, whether they are of the same ethnic background or otherwise.
If this situation is not resolved soon (and it's hard to see how it can be in the current circumstances) there WILL be a war, terrorist-led, bloody and world-wide, involving ALL religions, ALL ethnic backgrounds, ALL races.
It's frightening . . .

They already are, by the general public.
I'm sure some non-extremists know who they are but due to some sort of misplaced loyalty don't hand them in.
Some people are also very good liars.
It's pitiful that they are so scared of another religion that they will go to these lengths to try and make the rest of us shut up and go away.
I remember seeing reports from a school in Iraq a few years back now and they were teaching 5 year olds that whit people were infidels and should not be permitted to walk this earth!! Brainwashed from such an early age they never stand a chance in the real world.

I don't see what the problem is Bob N. I think you make perfect sense.
Why the reference to nazi Germany. The German Jew's were
not blowing up and killing people in suicide attack's,the low life Muslim's are. If the so called peaceful Muslim's were doing there duty they would tell the police who the murdering swine were. I would like to state i was not meaning to belittle
what happened to all those poor people in the nazi camps.

How many extremists have they handed over? Well do you know about every single person suspected of terrorism? My guess is they've let the police know a lot about suspicious people - just because it's not reported in the daily mail it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
I don't think all Muslims should be under suspicion. Were all Catholics under suspicion after IRA bombings?

The fact is that they will be held under suspicion by a general public that is constantly told to remain vigilant. Well, vigilant against whom? It is not some little old ladies from Norway and Sweden that are committing these attacks. We have a general idea what they look like. If we fail to profile, we are condemning ourselves to further attacks.
Unfortunately, Muslims by and large are more committed to their religion than the place they were born--especially if this was in Europe or in the United States. Now, doctors have been arrested in England for this most recent attack. People express shock. Why??!! What England and the rest of society needs to do is better train and educate their own citizens instead of having to import professionals with this kind of expertise. A failure to do this, or at least to have more rigorous background checks is to condemn more citizens to these types of attacks, because you know the Muslims will continue to cause terror, regardless if the West is in Iraq or not---just like they did prior to the invasion. There will always be some excuse. The problem is they fundamentally dislike and disagree with the West. Because they are so pathetically weak, they are forced to engage in such cowardly attacks to gain a modicum of attention to their goals--including the destruction of Israel. Why they would expect Israel or the United States to acquiesce in the destruction of the Jewish state is beyond me. They are laboring under stupid illusions.
What moderate Muslim community? They all stick together and protect their own. They hind behind the mosques and use these and madrassas to preach hatred against the West. They should gradually be closed down. No free speech for those who condemn the United States and the West in their own countries. These people are traitors and need to be deported immediately.

the most you could expect without going over the top in this, is that when a terrorist is found his family should be held responsable and sent out of britain including cousins ect, this would cause them to make more certain that their kinfolk are not terrorist. like they blame parents for school truancy and vandalism ect, they are small things blowing folk up should be
a bit more servere, dont you think.

Don't be ridiculous....
How can you suspect every Muslim in Britain? With an attitude like that within the police force, the divide between religions is going to become much, much deeper than it already is and cause more Muslims to feel isolated and therefore be more likely to lose any patriotism they had and become extremist sympathisers.
The problem is, alot of people have this ignorant attitude (including the police) and I can't see a resolution to it in the near future. I fear Muslims are going to become the new scapegoats for modern western society. This public thought will give the States and other Western countries the go ahead to invade Iran after Iraq and take full control of the Middle East.
Use your common sense. Of course all Muslims aren't terrorists.

Yes they should, and ditto on them being a close knit community, they are so very devious and they must know more than they are letting on, we know for a fact that it's the Pakistani youth who are at the root of the problem, so why are they not being rounded up, I think if one more attack is carried out by these savages their will be a tsunami of rage from the British people like never seen before, and Gordon Brown has made a fatal mistake by trying to appease them.

What are you suggesting tattoo them maybe send them to Cuba and prison.
We are seeing what it must have been like to live under Hitlers rule.
We have the laws in place we have the man power to fairly
and justly bring under control people breaking our laws. Including Hitler.
Let us look to history to prevent such racist thoughts
lets analyze this more care fully. What lead you to believe Muslims are behind the evil in this world.
My indications are that the most powerful man on earth is using his power to invade and occupy and kill people and imprison and torture them for no reason or at least reasons not revealed to the general public.
Lets put these facts under suspicion I see them as more of a threat than any other single event or group of people.

Absolutely! Read the Koran sometime, it promotes violence and hate. One of the last chapters written says to smite the unbelievers whereever they are. So it takes precedent over the earlier more peaceful chapters, unlike chritianity in which the later chapters promote peace and charity. To the ealier poster regarding Oklahoma City bombing, read Jayna Davis' book, "the Third Terrorist", in it you will find much evidence pointing to a Middle East connection and the distinct probability that Timothy Mcviegh was a paid mercenary carring out this bombing and the "patsied" by the very people hiring him.
