No. It can take years for a girl's period to regulate itself. Besides this, one of my friends never gets a period during the summer months. She is perfectly normal and even has children. Don't worry. If it bothers you, ask your doctor or have your mom ask.

Hi - You are probably just fine, but missing periods is not considered normal. You need to make an appointment to see your doctor to make sure everything is okay. I'm guessing you've never been to a gynecologist before - but don't worry. I was so nervous the first time i went, but it really isn't a big deal. Just relax, breathe, don't think about it too much... it's over before you know it. Take care and best of luck!

nope. its one of two things
1- since you are just starting to get them, your body is still trying to find its own cycle- every woman has her own cycle. the typical cycle can span anywhere from 26-32 days between the first day of your periods.

2- you have what is called Irregular periods. that is when you only get your period a few times a year not on a regular monthly basis.

see if you get it again in the next few months- if not and you want more info, call a dr and ask to speak with him/her. both regular and irregular periods are common so dont worry. :)

Not at all! Periods take tiem to regulate themselves to monthlies. My daughter got her period in January in 5th grade, and she didn't get another one til the following January of 6th grade. Even then they came about every three months and then not at all for a while. Finally about 8th grade they became regular. Don't worry. They will regulate eventually.

No, sometimes when you first start a period it takes awhile for the second one to come because your body is not use to it yet. If it does not start being normal by next month go see a gyno and see whats going on.

for the first 1 or 2 years of your period it can be irregular so dont worry about it. it will eventually find a pattern and become more regular

so you didn't have a period for a year....
and you didn't see the doctor after the first few months without?

Some people do have irregular periods but it's always worth checking on things like this

I think that you should ask God to reveal to you what the problem is and go to the hospital to see if there is anything wrong with you.
