During intercourse the boyfriend is scared to ejaculate inside, because he thinks it's bad for the baby. Is it okay or is it bad for the baby?

It's just fine for the baby. My best sex life was the time I was pregnant - no worries at all! The damage was done!

It's fine. Ejaculating inside will have no effect on the baby. The baby is safely sealed inside the amniotic sac and the cervix will prevent anything from reaching the baby.

Late in pregnancy, there is a theory that ejaculate can help trigger labor to begin due to the hormones in it. No one knows if it really works but there are lots and lots of impatient overdue couples who try this method. If a woman is at risk for premature labor she'll usually be told she needs to abstain from sex altogether.

The only possible danger I can think of would be if the boyfriend had an STD, but in that case pulling out will not help - if that were the situation they should not be having any sexual contact at all without a condom.

Of course it is not bad for the baby. Where did your friend get the idea that it could be?
She was given poor information. It will not harm her or the baby in any way.
Unless your friend has been told by her doctor to refrain from intercourse for some reason there are no restrictions on her sexual activity at this point in her pregnancy.

OMG yes it is perfectly normal and completely safe!! I am 3 1/2 months pregnant and my husband and I have never pulled out or used a condom, he was worried about it as well so he asked my prenatal doctor about it and she said it is perfectly safe. Tell your friend congrats and to ahve fun, the 2nd trimester sex is said to be the best and she is almost in her 2nd!!

It's fine. There is a mucus plug over the cervix that protects the uterine environment and baby from any outside materials, such as semen. It won't hurt the baby.

It's safe for the baby. Sex while pregnant is great because you don't have to worry about birth control....

It's fine. No harm to baby. The only time she'd need to abstain from sex would be if she's been told that by her doctor. Otherwise, no problem.

Sex is perfectly safe in most cases (unless your friend has medical issues). That would include ejaculation.

The foetus (baby) is sleeping inside a protected room (sac), so it will not wake up. Don't worry.
