The media and the mindless liberals that believe their every word are having a fit over Bush commuting Libby's sentence for a NON-CRIME and yet they (the liberals) aren't screaming about the ADMITTED theft and DESTRUCTION of CLASSIFIED documents from the National Archives by Clinton servant Sandy Berger ( an honest to goodness crime) and where is the outcry of Congressman Jefferson being caught on tape taking bribes and then being found to have over $90,000 of the bribe in his freezer ?? Hmmmm ???
Then there is the liberal whining about a possible Presidential Pardon for Libby. Let's carefully review the facts as they currently stand. 1. In Bill Clinton's 8 years in office he Pardoned well over 400 people including a man who was wanted for tax evasion (and Clinton is a democrat right?) who fled the country and then renounced his citizenship. This man was pardoned for the simple reason that he BRIBED Bill (contributed to the Clinton Campaign).
Bush has made fewer than 150 pardons.

Bush is not done with his pardons, believe me. Also, none of the people you mentioned covered for an act of treason before. The outing of a CIA operative is quite different then taking a bribe or destroying documents. The lives of people were jeopardized just to hush someone who was telling the truth about Iraq.

Libby was convicted of a crime in a court of law. Berger pleaded guilty. Berger has completed his sentence, Libby had his sentence commuted. William Jefferson is a defendant in a case that has not gone to court yet. He has been stripped of his committee assignments. If and when, he is convicted he will most likely be expelled from Congress.

You may have a point, however, what about the two Border Control officers who are sitting in for 11 years? A pardon would be appropriate, or?

You must be new to this country. Here, perjury and obstruction of justice are considered crimes.
You might want to spend some time learning our political system. You see, we have two ends of the political spectrum, Liberals and Conservatives. Both subscribe to the rule of law. We also have an anti-American, anti-patriotic, fringe element known as "neo-cons." These neo-cons mistakenly consider themselves above the law.
Another thing that you're obviously not aware of is that, in this country, we don't accept the concept that the actions of one individual are excused by the actions of another. This reality is generally understood by the age of 5.
Now that you have a little better idea of how things work here, enjoy your visit and please keep track of the expiration date of your visa.

The lesser of two evils will always be Bush. He lied and people died.

Well see, it's kind of like this since the elitist liberals are sooooooooooooo much more enlightened than the rest of us it's o.k. for Sandy to commit a minor infraction. As long as it's done to protect the sacred Cliton(I know I misspelled it)name. As far as the outcry against the Libby pardon, since when do liberals need a reason hate or bash Bush?
