how the heck do I do this in long division, please help explain thanks:

x(x-4)^2 / (x-1)(x+2)(x-3)

x(x-4)^2 / (x-1)(x+2)(x-3)
=(x^3 -8x^2+16x)/(x^3-2x^2-5x+6)
= 1 +6/x+ 1/x^2 with remainder 26-31/x-6/x^2

easy. its the distributive property. its simplified like this:

x^4-4x^2/x^3+6
