I need to burn 4.5 GB on a CD-R. I Need to burn a dvd. I only have cd-rw burner

If there were, you'd not have to buy a DVD writer would you?

DVD burners are newer technology, they burn smaller pits closer together... CD burners just can't burn fine enough tracks.

Sorry, It'd not going to happen on a CD-RW. DVD format requirements are different than a CD.

actually, there is a way. however, you need much patients because it requires so much time. You need a blank 4.5 gb DVD. First, copy all of the files from your DVD onto your computer. Then you can use your cd-rw to burn the files onto your blank DVD. however, I must warn you, it will take a really really really long time.... enjoy.

nope, if your comp is new enoguh to support a cd/dvd burner, i would upgrade, they are just too cheap to try to fiddle around with workarounds.

You cant, it has to say "DVD R/RW " on you drive.
