I think it was a group of black men who sang it. Their version was really upbeat and catchy. Any idea who that group was?

I gave iTunes a try, but no dice. They didn't have anything titled "Under the Boardwalk."

I DO know that that is the name of the song.

I don't want the original, I want the remake. If I wanted the original, I would just get a Drifters CD.

Try the original version by The Drifters. You can hear a sample at Amazon.com :-)

Thanks for snapping my head off for trying to help YOU!
First off, The Drifters ARE a group of black men who's version is very upbeat and catchy.
2nd, 'Under The Boardwalk' has been 'remade' by 378 different performers in the past 35 years, so good luck picking the one by 'a group of black men'...LOL! Smartazz! I was just trying to help!

You didn't say you were looking for a remake. You only said the 'version' played in the movie, which could've been the original version! So don't treat me like I'm an idiot for not READING YOUR MIND! AZZWIPE!

You're probally thinking of 'I Put A Spell On You' anyway. It's been redone over a hundred times and sounds different everytime someone does it. 'Under the Boardwalk' always sound the same, no matter who's doing it. And 'I Put A Spell On You' IS ON THE SOUNDTRACK! UTB is NOT on the soundtrack. www.soundtrackcollectors.com Good Luck...lol
