For my b-day (september 1st.) i want one thing a yankees game. well i live in kentucky. the closest game is in cleveland aug. 11th. i've put signs up all around the house and BEGGED my dad to take me!! (i'm turning 15 so i can't drive and i'm broke so i cant buy the tickets) He said he would have if we didn't have a family reunion the weekend before the game. one week before the game (saturday) is a family reunion so my dad has to drive 6 hours to michigan for a family reunion then the next weekend 6 hours to cleveland. so he said no. is there any ideas to get me to go??

You should try to see if you could go to the game closer to your family reunion. Maybe you could see a Detroit Yankee game that way your dad doesn't have to drive to much. You're even going to a Reds Game on Friday. How special!!! Hope this helps!

The only person putting 27 in 07 should be the guy turning 27 this year. The Yankees are done.
As for the game - you live in a state with no pro baseball. But did you have to chose the Yankees. You should be a Reds fan living in KY. But you choose the most popular team. That is sad.
Also - you have waited too long. Looking for tickets this late in the year against a popular opponent will guarantee you either no ticket, or a bad seat.
Plan better for next year.

If you stopped putting 27 in 07' after every horrid post, I would wire you the money right now. The Yankees will not even make the playoffs this year. End of story.

Anything can happen, yes. I am glad you figured that out in your first 15 years. My question is, do you remember 1978? Do you remember 1988? 1998? It's one thing to support a team but it's another thing to be completely naive.

Okay, here is what you do. Your father is going to Michigan for the reunion on or about August 27th. The Yankees play Detroit, in Detroit, August 24, 25, 26, and 27. If you go with him to the reunion you can all go to see the Yankees on one, or all, of those games with Detroit. This is the best I can do for you and good luck.

dang, bbfan33, you asked a annoying question! weren't you the guy who at present asked no count if maris or mattingly merits to be a HOFer? you ought to take a seat down around and picture up those toughies in simple terms topersistent yankee followers loopy! lol. ok, i'm thinking what i might do and thats why i'm having concern answering...on the only hand (as somebody has suggested) it is the final twelve months of "previous" yankee stadium so i might think of "bypass to the sport" yet (yet!!) on the turn element, an autograph is continuously, with a view to communicate. (granted, so will the sport day techniques be continuously)....dang, i will no longer be able to come to a determination!! i'm fairly sorry i will no longer be able to help you (and that i can hearken to you presently, asserting "nicely, why did he answer then?")...ok, ok,...geez.....ok....bypass to the sport, see the stadium, savor, you could continually get an autograph later and perchance get some without spending any money. Thats my company suggestion and that i'm sorta kinda sticking with it.

1978? of course I remember 1978. That was the year Gerald Ford went to China, or was that 1974? 1978 was the year Carter went to China, or was that the Camp David Summit?
anyways, my point I can brag about 1978 because I was ALIVE TO ACTUALLY BE THERE.
Do you remember 2004?
I DO, AND IT WAS SWEET!!!
and why do you say 27 in 07 when the yankees are o-fer in the 21st century. That;s right---the yankees have NOT won a world series in the 21st century.....hmmm must suck to be a yankee fan right now, oh well.
And ABOUT YOUR "little" situation. May I suggest you bite the bullet and deal with it. Dealing with adversity makes you a stronger person...something I am sure most yankee fans know nothing of.

And by tons of tickets - you mean standing room only. Because if you go to the Indians web site - and look for tickets - that is what they have left.
And Cleveland has good fans. They don't need Kentucky bred Hillfolk up there cheering for the Yankees. Stay home and watch Nascar.

Stubhub in not the same as saying "lets get tickets to the game". It is the same as saying "lets pay $50.00 for a $25.00 seat". Stubhub is where you go when there are NO tickets, or little tickets left. It is where you go to overpay to watch a game.
Stubhub is for suckers who have no connections. Go there is you want, because you are 15, you have no clue. When you are older you might understand why spending double the amount for a seat is a stupid thing to do for a game in August to see a team not in playoff contention.
