Hi on my school's Tablet PC we are connected to the school's domain. When I try creating a new account, what do I put for the domain box?

Example :
School's domain name : WLAN.ACS
My computer name : ReignOfComputer
Want to create account : Astarael

When I go to User accounts I type in Astarael for domain I type in ReignOfComputer, I press next, select any group they give this message : The user ReignOfComputer\Astarael could not be added to the _________ group because ReignOfComputer\Astarael does not exist. I tried putting my domain as WLAN.ACS, or leaving it blank this still happens. How to I fix this?

First, I suspect you do not have administrative rights to do this and this is one problem.

Second, if you want to create a new account (new user), it has to be in a domain that exists and one the PC is permitted to join. It appears to me that the only domain you have available is the WLAN.ACS domain and you will have to use it.

Thirdly, the account (user) Astarael has to have been set up on the server to accept the account. This is most likely something the server administrators have to do and you are most likely not allowed to do.

Contact the IT Administrator to get the permissions. Of course, if you have no permissions to do any of these things, it is very unlikely IT Administration will grant your wishes.

It sounds like you are meddling where you should not be.

computer account and user account are different

ReignOfComputer u mentioned above is computer account, not group

if u want, go to domain controller active directory create a group called "ReignOfComputer", then drag and drop Astarael user account in the "ReignOfComputer". Then it means that Astarael category as group "ReignOfComputer"
