Most of these sliding screens have spring loaded casters. Some have either top, or bottom adjustable casters, to make them fit, and operate better.

I find a 3 inch putty knife very handy... simply slip it under the bottom casters, and push down on the handle, lifting the caster up and out of the track...if you pull towards the outside, as you do this, the screen easily pops out of the track. The putty knife is handy for getting those caster back into the track too. Just put the blade on the track sill, and lift (under the caster), pushing the screen back into place.

One cautionary note -- There is very little support in a sliding screen frame, and it is VERY easy to pull it out of shape. Do NOT pull the screen material too tightly, when replacing it, or you will end up with the sides bowed in. :)

It is easiest to replace the screen material on a flat surface... and you might even want to cut a dowel, or slat, to fit between the frame sides, so that you do not pull them in too much.

the little wheels that run in the track at the top are spring loaded. Pull down on the sliding screen and pop it out of the tracks. When you replace the screen , make sure you have the proper screen tool for putting the gasket back in place , for this is what "tightens" the screen in the frame.

If you have two doors and one is stationary, slide the screen to the staionary side and lift upwards. The space there is usually higher to permit this.

Some doors have a small hole at base of door, stick a phillips screw driver in there and turn to lower the wheels.
