Visit:
Playbill.com
Craigslist.org
and the best know website is
Backstage.com (you do have to pay for it, but it is completely legitimate and is one of the industry standards.)
In Ohio you may also have better luck contacting the theater's directly via their websites. Just do a yahoo search, and see what they're doing.

Unfortunately most casting calls, or more to the point the ones provided by breakdown services, are just that. A service that must be paid for. And while you didn't specify if you were looking for theatrical or stage audtions, most of the information will apply to both areas.
As a general rule of thumb, free casting calls are going to be for roles that are paying little to no money. Usually student films, low to no budget independants, music videos etc... Most of the people that get into these projects do so in order to gain work experience, hone their craft, and gain credits and/or connections with people in the inductry. You can always find listing for these types of casting calls at craigslist and even on myspace in the actor's groups.
Your other option is to either sign with an agent or manager who has access to the daily breakdowns, or subscribe to one of the on-line services. These services list paying roles as well as non-paying, but also make a distinction between union and non-union roles.
Ohio is obviously not really a mecca for the entertainment world so it may be difficult to find many mainstream casting calls in your area. However one other option you may want to look into is to go down to the local university and inquire into their drama deprtment. More and more these departments have a television and movie section and often times solicit outside help to produce their projects. Especially for students who are studying to become directors.
Unfortunately when you decide to do this for a living it costs you a fair amount of money. Between headshots, subscriptions, fuel, travel time, parking etc. it can all really add up. If you decide to use a service like actor's access, La casting, or now casting, just be certain when you submit to a job that you fit the role and it's something that you can really do. Use your best judgement and you'll be fine.

I'm not sure about Ohio, but in your major cities you can go to 1 site called........www.actorsaccess.com & checkout the audition info. You can post your resume for free & also download your headshots. The only dilema is.....if you want to submit yourself for an audition it will cost you $2.00 per submission. If you go to the same site you will have a link for sides (scripts) that you can also have access to & if you want to download a side it will cost you anywhere from $1.00 up to $20.00 per script. The upside of this is that you can enroll for membership for apprx. $70.00 for the year & you will have FREE access to both the sides & you can also submit yourself for free.As an example........if you want to submit yourself for 30 different auditions in one month, you already paid for the rights of free stuff after enrolling for a year. Why not enroll for a year & you have all you need for a year & if you don't like it you could always stop after your 1st year. Also the nice thing about the site is if a casting director is looking for a particular look, they will put into a search engine all of what they want & who knows, your headshot & resume might pop up right in front of this casting director.
Another way to get started to see if this is what you want to do as a carreer & no just a hobby is to find a local background (extras) casting company & who knows what you could achieve from this. When you get involved with this type of thing they will typically charge between $10.00 -$50.00 one time fee to enroll but they take a digital headshot of you & also give you an 800 number to call dailly. If you want to work they will post on this line what they are looking for & you can call the contact number from their voice info & boom you're working. Just keep in mind that as an extra it's not as glorified as you may want it to be but then again you just don't know until you try it & also who & which show, movie,or commercial you will be with.Good Luck & I hope this bit of info helps

There are none. Dont fall for any that are suggested because you will never get cast through them. There is no quick and easy way to be an actor you have to spend years of study, experience and training to be an actor. And, oh yeah, if you are under 18, you need your parents' consent.
