This is an argument I had with someone recently and I want to hear what you all think.

The lack of attraction is only in physical/sexual aspects and has nothing to do with friendship/professional relationships. This is only dealing with romantic relationships, so please keep comments relevant!

Thanks

Keep in mind, this is the case for this person MOST of the time, but there are exceptions

I agree with all of you so far. I think it's something instinctual or biological, that people may not be physically attracted to a particular race

If they were truly racist there wouldn't be any exceptions (that they would admit to). So I'd say no.

It could be cultural conditioning, or it could be that you simply don't have enough contact with people of other races to become used to the features etc, or see beyond the looks and become attracted to the person for who they are.

Some people theorise that you are attracted to people that make the best genetic combination for children and perhaps that means a more homogeneous match for some people.

No, I think you can't really help who you are attracted to and who you aren't. It's a chemical thing so how would your "chemicals" know the other "chemicals" are black, Asian, white or whatever. I have friends who are of different races and a nephew who is mixed race and I love them. I am not racist but I am just not attracted to certain races.

If you prefer vanilla to chocolate ice cream,do you have a problem with those poor farmers out there growing the cocoa beans?Of course not,it's just personal preference. We can't control what we like in that way and what we don't.I've never hooked up with a redhead.Should they be protesting outside my house?Anyone who claims that you're racist because of your' personal taste is insulting you.

I don't think it means the person is racist. We all have personal taste and some like blonds, or brunets, brown eyes, blue, green, big boobs, small ones etc... I don't think its prejudice , so long you don't respect that particular race less than yourself. I

people do tend to get misunderstood easily, but we need to acquire skills so that it dosent appear like being a farty racist.

I'm not racist, I just don't find many orientals or blacks attractive.
