Will a government employee(like the one the Mccanns got) fly out to lend assistance?,will Gordon Brownie Points meet the parents? will the Pope be interested? Will the parents lie to the press and police? will the parents do a world tour? will the parents set up a fund to pay for the ransom?
NO to all these questions.

Its an awful story, I have heard it many times on the news today..
Whether you like the McCanns or not, I think they have set a precedence for when children go missing.
Fortuanately in this country children are very rarely abducted by a stranger. Had this child in Nigeria not been British, we would have heard nothing, so to say there are children missing all over the world and the same should be done for them is all well and good if we get to hear about it.

I would imagine not... unfortunately I think kidnappings for ransom occur regularly in Nigeria, the difference with Madeleine's disappearance being that it will result with a demand for cash and the release of the little girl..
It is very sad, the poor little mite, I hope she is home safe and sound very soon!

She won't, simply because the circumstances are completely different.
She has been kidnapped for ransom and it's linked to the huge oil trade over there. Which high flying officials are involved in.
Madeline McCann was kidnapped for (probable) sexual gratification and it's linked to Europe's huge peadophile ring. Which high flying officials are involved in.
This case also raises the old black/white criminal stereotype - blacks are murderers and whites are peadophiles. It's probably true.

Hopefully this child will be returned safe. Money is the only object here. There has been no ransom demand for Madeleine.

horrific, but the only comfort is that this is a kidnapping for ransom and the victims are usually released unharmed. Let's hope that's the case for this poor wee girl.

lets hope that - if the parents try to get media attention for the kidnapping - that random people dont turn on them and start accusing them of everything from paedophilia to murder - as in the case of the McCanns

I would certaintly hope so. But todays world is so coruppted that news isn't about what's happening in the world, its about what people want to hear. People are bored with that kind of story, so probably not. She should get the same publicity, though.
