While it depends a lot on how you drive and the terrain and conditions, most vehicles are designed with a 200-300 mile range, which is the average distance you can drive on a single tank full of gas. Mid-sized cars that typically have a 10 gallon tank, and tend to get 20 miles pre gallon have a 200 mile range. Econo cars may also have a 10 gallon tank but will average better fuel economy and have a 300 mile range.
You will probably need 2 1/2 full tanks for a mid-size car, and 2 tanks for a small car. so 20 to 30 gallons.

It depends on the gas mileage of the vehicle driven. Without knowing that it is impossible to calculate.
Most cars get between 18 and 35 miles per galleon.
To calculate the number of gallons required just divide the miles by the MPG of the vehicle and add 1/4 gallons per hundred miles for stops.
Example 1: A car that gets 35 mpg. If you divide 412 by 35 you get 11.77 + (0.25 * 4) = 12.77 gallons.
Example 2: A car that gets 18 mpg. 412 / 18 + (0.25 * 4) = 23.89
To get the cost just multiply the number of gallons times the price per gallon.
My car gets 35 mpg so it would cost me around $40 one way.

It depends on any how many miles your car gets to the gallon. If, for example, it is 32 miles to the gallon, you would divide 412 miles by 32, which would be 12.875 gallons. You would then times the number of gallons by the price avg. price of gas (I believe somewhere in the upper twos,) and that would be about your cost, give or take 10 dollars.

Depends on a couple of things. If your car gets 18 mpg then divide 412 by 18 and get 23 gallons. Now multiple 23 times the cost of gasoline in your area. Say gasoline Cost $2.90 per gallon, the cost is 23 x 2.90 = $66.70.

It completely depends on what gas mileage your car gets. To figure out your gas mileage, set your trip odometer to "0" when you fill up your gas tank. Then when you refill your gas tank, record the number of miles driven (on the trip odometer) and divide that by the number of gallons you put in your gas tank. This number is your miles per gallon (MPG). Now divide 412 by the MPG, and you have the number of gallons you need!

At 25 Miles per gallon you'd need 16.48 Gallons. Multiply that times the cost of a gallon of gas for your answer.

It depends on what kind of car you have. I have a Honda Civic, it is really good on gas. I get 300 miles for a full tank which costs me like $30-$32 to fill.

You can solve this using the equation 400/600=15/x, then solving for x. To do that, first simplify, leaving you with 2/3=15/x. Next, multiply both sides by x to get 2x/3=15. Then, multiply both sides by 3 to get 2x=45. Finally, divide by 2 to get x=22.5 gallons of gas.

Look up your possible fuel economy at www.fueleconomy.gov, and get an idea of how many miles per gallon your vehicle gets. Divide that number into 412, and you'll have your answer.
