Why do my magnets take the paint off my fridge?

I just got a new fridge and I put a few magnets on there. I moved some the next day, and some of the paint came off with them. Now my fridge looks ratty. Why does this happen, and how can I prevent it?

There must be something in that paint that is attracted to the magnet. did it stick to the magnet? or possibly on the refrigerator there is bad quality paint. Where did you get the Refridgerator and go bact to where you baught it and explain to them and maybe they can at least tell you the problem or fix/replace it.
