What is the ratio of non-nervous women opposed to nervous or "uneasy" women, when seeing a doctor that requires him to work down there on you.

I only ask because I would GREATLY prefer a female doctor if I were female, cause as a male I know that males think about sex 80% of the day in some form. Don't quote me on that though.

It does not matter as long as they are professional about what they are doing.

I've seen both female and male gynecologists. With regards to exams down there: with the male, a nurse is present the entire time. Also, male gynos are a lot more gentle I noticed.. the female ones kinda don't care too much I guess cuz there women and know if it will be uncomfortable. With regards to discussing issues with the doctor, I prefer a female.. it just feels weird talking to a male gyno about your sore breast---what the hell does he know about it lol... he just read about it in medical books =/ In that department, the female gyno is much more understanding and can relate more =)

It's really a shame that women are in the mindset that male gynecologists think strictly of sex.

I have two favorite gynecologists, one is male. He was my hero when I suffered a miscarriage a while ago. He would be my first choice if my other doctor wasn't available.

They are professionals. There are good doctors, and there are bad doctors, it doesn't matter what gender they are.

LOL, when you look at hundreds of vaginas in any given week, believe me, sex is the furthest thing from your mind, male or female. Besides, doctors are looking for pathologies, trying to spot anything that may be out of the ordinary, while they are indeed human, and some of them men, their minds are on their work. The one's that don't, and that is fairly few, don't last long in the business.

I prefer a female doctor as my gyno. My regular doctor is a male though.

yeah, when i start seeing a gyno i hope to god its a female.. if its a male i might have to switch over to a girl. its just awkward having a guy you barely know, feel around down there and look around.. i dont even think they should be able to get a job as a female gynotoligist.

I know I would never feel comfortable with a man checking me down there, so I always seek out a female physician.

I always find it creepy that a man would choose to look at vaginas all day as his profession!

I prefer a female doctor. Expecially one I know is married or not gay. I don't like anyone looking at that anyway, expecially a man, cuz you are right, men think about sex. What if he was thinking about what mine would be like. I know thats weird but hey its a thought.
