Yes. You can use Torrents. Make sure you have Utorrent installed. It is a 2004 Version though.

If you don't want the free "open" versions of software that work like MS Word, then the best bet is buy a stripped down version. You can get an older version of just "Word" without all the other Office software. Check the Apple or Ebay websites. Watch out for illegal MS Word copies on Ebay.

There's a lot of scammers out there selling MS programs. The cheapest legit way is to be a student or educator . . . or have one in your family. Have them buy the educational edition at an online site. (like Studica.com)
