I don't think so. That's why people like to say that truth is stranger than fiction. Read some of the new ideas given by theoretical physicists, or just read about basic quantum mechanics and you could see that our universe oftentimes works contrary to how logic would dictate it to. Maybe all truth is logical, and we are not defining logic well due to our lack of understanding.

They only assume that because they are regulated by a intellectual routine diet of conventional science which uses induction and only studies order. Your right, there is a lot that doesn't follow patterns. Things which defy logic, are what we call ineffable. Try putting that weirdest form you can think of into words. That's just one thing, and there always different ways that form can appear, and have shape. We can't give names to every little thing, so I doubt there is or ever will be the truth, but I do accept that truths exist; stable patterns. I prefer a quest for knowing, then a quest for some end it all truth.

Truth is a concept involving some defined boundary between what is, and what is not.
Every day on Yahoo QA those boundaries are pronounced thousands of times by thousands of different individuals, each giving contradictory answers.
Does this tell us anything about the nature of truth, where human beings and logic are the measure?

Yep. Quantum physics is full of them. For example, the behavior of 'split' particles of light seems to defy logic.
For that matter, the results derived when man attempts to generate random numbers defies, both logic, and all the wisdom provided by statistics.

I don't think so. What about the validity of logic? Logic can't testify on it's own behalf. You need something outside of logic, like a conscious human being, to gaze upon logic and say "Yes, it is true." The truth of a logical propostion is not to be found in the logical proposition itself. It must lie outside of all logic.

well,perhaps the explanation needs an example;
One Answerer asks whether 'there is an"illogical truth" '.
Now while we are confident that there is not(and i agree),
we still get what i call 'anomalies'; Eg, kurt Godel and his
Proof,that,- Something 'goes wrong in arithmetic'.
That's my words,not his,and could be untrue.
Godel really proved that "Arithmetic is Incomplete".
But where does this get us?
Is he saying that arithmeticians shouldnt use the symbol-
for-infinity in arithmetic(and hence math?)?
He's obviously critical-in some way-of arithmetic(albeit up
to at least 1930's!). Critical in what specific and meaningful
way?
i've yet to get a clear answer(assuming his proof is True).
And i believe there are many more such "wavers-from-a
true-path",as i see it(!)
So i believe there are out there,- some truths to be discovered that, although true, are not quite logical or
in reality, not yet simply explainable(and integrated into
our knowledge).

as long as it is based on logic and empirical evidence, then yes. the truth is the truth no matter what.
there is only one way to obtain any given truth, and everything else is a fallacy. so it must be logical.
Can anyone think of an illogical truth?

logic is when something is proven. truth is what you believe in. they are different i would say, because logic is what is excepted by the thinking people, truth is what every human believe to be true. e.g. many humans believe that religion is true, or god exists, but logic says that's not good enough, i will believe it when i see it. to say this you are a logical person.

Truth, always logical?...Helll No...The most dangerous of all lies, however, are most often quite logical and subsequently sold as truths...blindly swallowed by entire peoples for generations.
One can substantiate and justify virtually anything with 'logic'...e.g. Salem Witch trials, Mcarthyism, Socrates as corruptor of youth (quite logical in their own context and time....but True? I think not.)

No, truth is not always logical.
For example, there is heuristic truth or that which you gain by intuition, which verifies other experience and makes "sense" to you.
There is spiritual truth which is felt by faith but not considered by many to be provable by reason much less logical reason.
