I really mean movies that should never be made or re-made. Titanic 2 should never be made. The Wizard of Oz, Casablance, Gone With the Wind should never be re-made. The Rocky series should come to an end.

Unfortunately bad sequels are just a fact of life in the movie biz, so I don't have a problem with 2nd and 3rd installmants not being as good as the 1st.

But here are some re-makes we didn't need:

Dukes of Hazzard
Walking Tall
Point of No Return (La Femme Nikita)
Brian's Song
Planet of the Apes
Amityville Horror
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Psycho
Shaft
Poseidon (The Posiedon Aventure)
13 Ghosts
Night of the Living Dead
King Kong

Regardless of genre, any movie regarded among the all-time movie classics more than 25+ years after it's release, should NOT be re-made. Never re-make Casablanca, Rear Window, From Here to Eternity, Star Wars, Enter the Dragon, Raging Bull, Cool Hand Luke, the French Connection, the Godfather, Citizen Kane, Guess who's coming to Dinner etc.

I think they should've left Pirates of the Caribbean after the first one. The second and third were just too long and overdone. I mean, I know Johnny Depp fans can't get enough of him, but wow if there ever was a 0-effort in giving fans what they want, it was in those two movies.

I also think that Batman Begins was so good because it was semi-realistic, so that they shouldn't make a part two with Joker in it. How are they going to do that without making it a kid's movie?

Indiana Jones definitely, Harrison Ford is tooooo old. Star wars is another (face it Lukas you can only do so much to the Skywalker family)Of course the classics should never be redone. There's a reason why they are classics. If your going to remake a movie or produce another sequel, don't use the original actor, period. If the original actor is too old to play the part again, don't even bother.

Star wars episode 7 8 and 9...the prequels to episode 4, the "first" Star wars movie, practically ruined the whole thing for me...also the Matrix 2 and 3 blew big time, really bummed me out after the original one was so great.

While I love Pirates of the Caribbean there shouldn't be any more of them....it will ruin the appeal of the others.

Grease 2 does not need to exist!

I also hate Dreamcatcher, Punch Drunk Love, and Shaun of the Dead
