the other day i was watching a nadal match. And i saw that in the b/w game break, he placed his water bottle on the ground , then adjusted it by an inch 2 times so that it went in absolutely the same position as before. Do u think this helps him concentrate, or is it just plain fake and irritating (Just like Maria Sharapova ) . And Isnt The fluid and continuos relaxing style of THE MASTER - Roger Federer , much more beautiful and atractive 2 watch? Do ya agree?

totally agree! he is very very so irritating!
i am laughing so hard.. what is with us and not liking some certain tennis players.. its so funny!

I'm a huge ATP fan and don't agree. While I predicted several years ago that Federer would eventually become the world's #1, I wasn't prepared for his complete domination. On the ratings board, he is 2,500 points ahead of Nadal (who is about 2,500 points ahead of Roddick) - an unsurmountable difference. Because of this, I say let Nadal behave however he wants. Unless injury forces Federer out for, like, three years, he is untouchable. It's good to have colorful characters on the tour, it's what's made the ATP more popular in recent years. Otherwise no one - in the US, at least - would even care anymore.

All the players have their little superstitions and rituals they have to do. That's Nadals. Federer is no worse...I laugh when he comes on in this long trouser things, with the blazer and the v-neck sweatshirt...I mean, it's all just a bit much isn't it?
both players are interesting to watch....their game styles are fascinating, I mean Federer is just so skilled and talented. And Nadal fights so hard, like today when he was 2 sets down and then managed to win.

If that helps him concentrate so be it. I am not a Nadal fan but he can sure play tennis. Don't like the way he dresses but he wins a grand Slam tournament.
C'mon look at baseball, watch evry batter- they have their own little quirks before they get ready to swing.
I agree Federer is a very graceful and a more relaxed player.

Federer and his white jacket are worse.
I've always liked the rebels - Agassi w/ the hair, Nadal schooling Roger... on clay, at least.
But I have to say, I can't name more than 4 mens players anymore. Ivan Lendl... is her still around? ;)
The women's game is so much better, and honestly, more fun to watch.
Sharapova would be sooooo gorgeous if she stopped making snotty faces and yelping like an animal. It's called a smile, Maria. In fact, on her camera ads, she's super cute.
But overall, I love petit Justine knocking off the taller, more muscular women, including the Predator sisters.

I like Nadal's style of play. He plays every point like it's championship point, no matter who is playing; however, his b/w point ritual was interesting at first but now it is irritating and rude to his opponent. I believe this was the point Soderling was making when he played. Even Agassi complained a bit when playing Nadal.

Nadal is not at all irritating in any way. A lot of players have different things that they do. Rafa has his habits, Maria has her screeches, Serena is always pumped and shouting "c'mon" to herself, all great players have something they all do different. Just because he takes some time doesn't mean you have to go and bash him on his choice of attire. He even admits he has habits and he's trying to get rid of them. :)

The adjusting the bottle thing is so funny to me. I don't think it has anything to do with Nadal being fake, its more like OCB.

That is just something he does, that's does not make him a fake. He is a great tennis player and with all that muscle he can probably kick your behind anyway.

I don't know about fake, but he is irritating. He is almost as bad as a Williams sister.
He could be good looking, especially with that body, but that hair and his awful clothing make him look like he is trying out for Pirates of the Carribean 4: Return to Mallorca.
