When I was in university someone did this. They figured if they put a slice of bread on either side, the cheese would be contained, and voila! Toasted cheese sandwich! So they crammed two slices of bread, with cheese in the middle, in the toaster. Of course, the cheese melted out the bottom, and the doubled up bread got stuck in the toaster. There was a fire, and we all got to stand outside while the fire department went in and got the toaster. Needless to say, that student had to work in the kitchens for a while to pay off the damage.

pork chops ! but, really the #1 answer is a fork ! when someone gets a piece of bread stuck, that's the first thing our brains want to use to dig it out. Why is it we're smart enough not to grab a plastic one, because it will melt, but we'll grab a metal one and risk getting electrocuted ?
