I named my daughter Kathryn Elizabeth. She is 22 months now and everyone calls her Katy or Katy Beth. I liked this name because of its versatility. She can be Katy, Kate, Kat, Kathy, Kathryn, whatever she chooses to be.

Plus, I feel it is important to consider if the name is cute for a child or reasonable for a person of all ages. If you think of a name and then think of your child being 60 years old having that name and you can honestly say it is not an embarrassing or childish name, you are good to go!
