At least two island nations are free from snakes- Ireland and New Zealand. Antartica also has no snakes, and it is a continental island.
Hawaii HAD no snakes, but is now infested with several species people have introduced for one stupid reason or another.
Lots and lots of small islands around the world also have no snakes- so it sort of depends on what you mean by your terms.

Hawaii does not have any snakes on any of their Islands. Its hard for me to believe it.....I am from Kansas and I see so many places on this island that would be great for snakes.....but no one has ever seen snakes on these Islands. The answer above me that says that there are snakes in Hawaii sounds misguided to me. I live here and all the locals that have lived here all of their life tell me that they have never seen a snake.

Islands in Antarctica. Only cold-adapted plants and animals survive there.
