Gore's Son in Pot, Pill BustAl Gore III, son of the former vice president, arrested for suspicion of possessing marijuana and prescription drugs.

I am sure he is not the only one in this house who is "on something", just look at his Dad.

Is anyone shocked by this?

Umm. Shocked? No. His son is an ordinary 24 year-old brat. So what? Ever been to college? This kind of stuff happens all the time. Young people get older and learn more about how the world works.

Did our former vice-president get charged with these things? No. What's your beef? This is a poor attempt at character assassination.

When one is the offspring of a celebrity, whether entertainer or politician or whatever they are in the spotlight. The pressure is always on them unlike the rest of us. Some can handle the pressure others cannot. Obviously Al Gore III cannot. He has done stuff like this before.

No one should be shocked by this. Doing drugs is relatively commonplace these days. Like it or not.

Dear God, you mean a privilaged son of a politician has been using illegal substances! Well I never... this must be a first... thank God we still have other role models out there like Paris Hilton, Brittney Spears, OJ Simpson, Ted Kennedy and all the other celebrities out there to provide a good example for our youth!

I thought only the evil, wretched inner city hoodlems used drugs... I'll bet it was that pervasive MTV that did this... let's shut down the television, radio, and the internet...

By the way, does his father know about this... I mean, all that smoke from the pot is adding to global warming after all... when Al Senior finds out about this, he's probably gonna flip ****!

Not shocked, just indifferent. This is no big deal. I would bet that a majority of the US congress has at one time smoked pot, or taken other illegal drugs. You should not be so harsh on Al Gore III just because he has an idiot religious fanatic for a father.

I could care less.

You go right ahead and spend your time and energy on *gasp* A YOUNG PERSON EXPERIMENTING!! What is the world coming to!!! meanwhile the Constitution is being dismantled, the president of the United States spits on the law and the judicial process, presidential candidates endorse torturing, the poverty population is swelling by the day, jobs are being shipped overseas by the hour, and the amount of drinkable water on the face of the earth dwindles by the year...

You go right ahead and get upset about young people smoking pot.

No. I am not shocked.

So? George Bush's daughter got in trouble for pot also. Our current President Bush experimented with cocaine in his youth and was an alcoholic for years. Many teenagers and college kids mess up. Give the kid a break. At least he was driving an environmentally friendly car.

No, what shocked me is that we "elected" a president who is a war-dodging, coke snorting, convicted drunk driver alcoholic married to a woman given a walk on a vehicular manslaughter charge. And then we re-elected him after he urinated on The Constitution and then wiped his butt with it.

Oh no!! Marijuana and prescription drugs?!?! How horrible. That's much worse than being a coked up drunk driver like our good ol' president.
