There was a lot of early buzz for this guy which has died. Instead Ron Paul is getting out to the grassroots and waking up America.

Before any of you drones vote for this socialist why don't you look into his voting record as a Illinois State Senator. In 1999, he was the only state senator to oppose a bill that prohibited early prison release for criminal sexual offenders and also
voted against a requirement to make schools filter internet pornography from school computers. Also I have yet to hear any of the Democratic canidates say the word "WIN" when talking about the war on terror.

Here's what kills me about people who bash or praise any of the candidates right now...What do you know about them??? Besides the little soundbytes you get on the news, the hyperbole about "hope", "a better tomorrow", and "preserving the American way" in their speeches, and the crazy rantings from the talking heads, most people don't know jack about what the candidates stand for. I watched both debates and I can't tell you. I can tell you on the Dem side, most of them are just trying to not saying anything to eliminate themselves from the race and they're for some kind of method to fix health care. I like Joe Biden, but he seems too angry to be taken seriously by most people. The Republicans, most are fear mongers in the tradition of Bush. Guiliani is just saying 9-11,9-11, remember me, I was there on 9-11. McCain is pandering to the religious right. I really wanted him in 2000, now he just seems like a sell out to me. Ron Paul is the Repub I like, but again, I don't think anyone is taking him seriously.
As far as Obama, I don't see much of a reason not to vote for him, except maybe lack of experience. But I also don't see a reason to really get that fired up about him either. When they start having something substantial to say, I'll start listening, but right now it's all just rhetoric.
Also, to people who say "he voted against a bill that barred early release of sex offenders", I would like to know what the bill was and why he voted against it. Considering most felons lose their right to vote, I don't think he was trying to win over sex offenders by voting against it. And if you think he's just an evil person, take another sip of Kool Aid.

I think an Obama presidency would make George W. Bush look very good. This guy is too inexperienced to lead this country and his views are far out in left field. I could never vote for him for anything and am puzzled that Illinois actually elected him to the Senate. He stands for everything I am opposed to.

Obama scares me because he is a Muslim and what makes it worse is he tried to hide that fact at first before admitting it. With the way things are between America and Muslim terrorists, I don't think this would be a good fit right now....

i don't think your question should be a consideration of race, but more along the lines of following what the media wants the public to do. Are we sheep for following the media and electing Obamma?
As for the democrats, that will definately be the case. For those who think for themselves, anyone who is not a socialist and followed good conservative values would be choosen.

"Does anyone else think we're sheep for considering Obamma for President?"
Yes. The "sheep" are the so-called "centrists" who can't decide what they stand for between one election cycle and the next. They should love a vacuous emptyhead like Osama. He actually proposes the "controversial" notion that one must be "audacious" to "hope." What a load of nothingness; reminds me of Billary in '92. But not to worry;
B. Hussein Osama shall never overcome the Billary sleaze machine.The '08 election will feature Thompson vs. Hitlary.
Fight the real enemy.
STOP HITLARY NOW!!!

"Born to a KENYAN father and an American mother, Obama grew up in culturally diverse surroundings. He spent most of his childhood in the majority-minority U.S. state of Hawaii and lived for four years in Indonesia. After graduating from Columbia University and Harvard Law School, Obama worked as a community organizer, university lecturer, and civil rights lawyer before entering politics. He served in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004, launching his campaign for U.S. Senate in 2003."

If you expect us to listen to you after you say Obama has something in common with the terrorists, then you are an irrational bigot. Your emoticons are too high to reason with. Your hate too deep to change.

If Hillary and Obama are running mates I think every-one will vote for them. I know it would ba a mistake but they are the money getting leaders...And we know that it is money not the ideas that get them elected.
