Senator Obama said recently that Bush has not committed anything grave enough to deserve impeachment. Does that mean Obama will use Bush's abuse of power to justify his if elected? The Iraq war was started by Bush and is a war crime by most standards. Violating his oath of office by allowing domestic spying without due process and numerous other abuses have been well documented.

Violation of the FISA law is enough for impeachment, in addition to other wrongdoing. Obama is being overly cautious because he knows that there is no current momentum on the part of the Democrats to impeach.

The Democrats could easily impeach Bush if they wanted since all they need is a majority vote of the House. The Republicans impeached Clinton just because they could and, of course, couldn’t convict.

Part of the danger of letting the Bush administration get away with its many abuses is that it sets a bad precedent for future administrations.

There is a ton of stuff Bush could be impeached for. One thing is violating our fourth amendment rights be illegally wire tapping. Also he is allowing people to be tortured at Guantanamo-he could be tried for war crimes by the UN.

Obama just doesn't want to say Bush should be impeached because a lot of people don't like that idea even if they don't like Bush.

Who's going to impeach Bush anyway? We're already talking about the next election so no one is going to waste their time trying to impeach Bush in his last term no matter what crimes he may have committed.

Actually commiting a crime probably, like the Constitution prescibes for impeachment. High crimes or misdemeaners. None of which Bush has committed.

What that means is that liberals have been duped by their politicians and the media all these years. They have spun every he had done into being something that could be perceived as illegal, and it is just not so. The politicians know this, but they want to win an election. Too bad their constituents are so bright.
