We left it in the water (fresh) over the weekend and it came out with a scummy bottom which doesn't wash off with just elbow grease and soapy water. Any ideas? Someone told us softscrub but I fear it could be too abrasive. Thanks for your help!!

Softscrub is good, I've used it before on my boat. Simple Green is another good product to try. Either of those will probably take the protective finish off so apply a good quality automotive type wax to the Gel coat when you're done (NuFinish works great - it's easy to apply and comes off with little effort too, even in the sun). The next time you leave it in the water, the scum should come off easier.

Yep, MaryKate On&Off. Put a small amount on a clean rag, and wear gloves. It WILL burn you. If you have algae stains, put a little sand on your rag and rub the On&Off on the stain. It will polish it right off. We use it all the time here at the boatyard.
